We have spent the last couple of days trying to get our bodies adjusted to this time zone; it is a difficult task. We have also had the opportunity to become acquainted with the city and our immediate surroundings. Needless to say, it is incomparable to the United States.

Even though we have yet to begin outreach (that will begin on Monday), we are already heartbroken for these girls. Although I have already been here and experienced outreach, I can never get used to the reality here, and I do not think that anyone else could either. No matter how many books you read or statistics you know, you can not imagine the emotions that run through you when you see these men and these girls that have obviously numbed themselves to the pain they feel each day.
